Your server, your data
The preview connects to a server the household owner runs. Records live there until the owner or administrator deletes them.
A family command center for Echo Show 15 — calendars, chores, meals, shopping lists, photos, and weather on one household dashboard.
In development · Owner-connected preview
Calendar Buddy turns an Echo Show into the screen the household actually runs on. Set it up once, and the display shows what's on today: the family calendar, whose chores are due, what's for dinner, what's on the shopping list, the local forecast, and a rotation of photos worth looking at.
The current preview is owner-connected: it talks to a Calendar Buddy server that the household owner selects and administers, rather than a Boltaic-hosted cloud service. Household information stays on that server.
The decisions behind the preview.
The preview connects to a server the household owner runs. Records live there until the owner or administrator deletes them.
Connect an iCloud calendar over CalDAV and it syncs into the household view. The app-specific password is encrypted before storage.
The Echo app asks for network access — and nothing else. No microphone, camera, contacts, precise location, or general storage.
Installing Calendar Buddy does not give it Alexa voice recordings. It is a display, not a listener.
Local forecasts come from the configured Thunder Buddy weather service, using an approximate home location only.
Household information is never used for advertising, third-party marketing, or cross-app tracking, and is never sold.
