Delete Calendar Buddy Data

Calendar Buddy's owner-connected preview does not offer public account registration. It uses a private server selected by the household owner.

Delete Individual Items

An authorized user can remove supported calendar events, household profiles, chores, meals, shopping-list items, and photo connections from the Calendar Buddy management interface.

Removing an item sends a deletion request to the configured household server. A synchronized calendar item may also need to be removed from the connected calendar provider.

Disconnect iCloud

To stop Calendar Buddy from accessing an iCloud calendar:

Disconnect the calendar connection from Calendar Buddy.
Sign in to the applicable Apple account.
Revoke the Calendar Buddy app-specific password.

Revoking the app-specific password prevents future CalDAV access even if an encrypted copy of the old credential remains in a server backup.

Request Broader Data Deletion

You may request deletion of some or all Calendar Buddy information without reinstalling or opening the application.

Send an email to contact@boltaicllc.com with the subject “Calendar Buddy Data Deletion Request”.

Include:

The name of the household owner.
The email address associated with the household.
The household identifier, if available.
The categories of information you want deleted.
Whether you want all Calendar Buddy household information deleted.

Do not include an Apple app-specific password, device-pairing credential, or other secret.

Verification and Processing

Boltaic LLC or the household server administrator will verify the request with the household owner before deleting information.

After verification, the applicable active database records, stored photo content, provider credentials, and device-pairing credentials will be deleted as requested.

Because the owner-connected preview is self-hosted, the household owner or server administrator also controls backup copies and their retention. Information retained only in backups will no longer be used and will be removed when those backups are deleted or expire.

Third-Party Information

Deleting Calendar Buddy information does not automatically delete information held independently by Apple, Amazon, or another connected provider. Contact those providers separately to exercise rights concerning information stored in their systems.
